Etta James, Vesta, Don Cornelius, Michael Jackson, Heavy D...there are more....we stand here in the wake of reality!! The reality of the blessing of LIFE...the realization of our responsibilty in that "passing of the torch" to continue to make history in music for those NEXT legends to leave their mark in singing, songwriting & performing. Sometime it hits us and we're prepared, as in sickness of a loved one, etc. Sometimes it comes when we least expect it. At the end of the day, It is inevitable! We sometimes lose site of this reality....we are ALL going home one day, one day!! Every last single one of us!! Some of us live our life knowing that and live it in such a way that is in line with our faith. Others...well... live it a lil differently. Whether it's the loss of loved ones or entertainers what it should remind us of is our mortality & HOW we should live our lives! Tomorrow isn't promised to noboby...NONE of us fam!! We've all heard the expression, live everyday as if it were your last. Well there's a lot of truth in that. Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today, go hard or go home, the worst thing to live with it regret, etc, etc, etc. Gee....wonder why those sayings exist?? Why...because tomorrow ain't promised fam!! If you can LIVE TODAY, then LIVE!! If you can make & create a life for yourself that can be so fulfilling that if you in fact DID die tomorrow you can be happy that you've done & accomplished everything you've set out to do or be, then you have LIVED LIFE!! It shouldn't take reminders like this for us to realize or kick start us to that realization, but I'm a firm believer that everything....EVERYTHING happens for a reason!! Good or bad! As we mourn the passing of ANOTHER all-time greatest selling artist, pray for her family, friends, loved ones. Another beautiful voice has joined the choir in heaven. Her passing came at the eve of the Grammy's!! Again driving home that point, tomorrow isn't promised to any of us fam...not any of us! Are you awake? Are you aware? Are you ready to live your life? Have you told your family, your loved ones that you love them today? Tomorrow is...not...promised! When will you start living your life? When will you start making the changes, making the moves, making your life one that you leave this earth saying/feeling that you've lived a good life...a wonderful life.
