Hello World,
Quan-Tia Shanie is the name. I am a singer/songwriter from the Bronx, NY. I have loved music my entire life. I was born into music. My mother a fashion designer turned Tech and father a DJ and Rapper who had some success before becoming a Social Worker introduced me to the music that would later mold my sound. I grew up listening to Sade, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Simply Red, Steele Pulse, Bob Marley & The Wailers, The Whispers, Gap Band, SOS Band, Mtume, Najee and many more. My sound and style has been influenced by all of the aforementioned and others who are not mentioned. However my biggest influences have been Sade, Chaka Khan, and Mary J Blije. I dream of hearing my written work performed by the talented elite such as, Beyonce, Usher, Chris Brown, Jill Scott, and Alicia Keys and spend most of my days working towards that goal. I have been told that my vision is impossible and that very few rarely get to live their fantasies however I am not a quitter I know what I want and what is meant for me. I will never stop reaching for what I know is within my grasp.
