Mixtape Monday Street Rehab Report

Erick Sermon

"Breath of Fresh Air"

This week's mixtape Monday selection comes from Def Squads & EPMD's legendary Producer/MC Erick Sermon. Coming out of nowhere the EPMD front man blesses the streets with a mixtape which seems like a collection of some unreleased tracks mixed with some new bangers but never the less it doesn't disappoint and serves as Breath of Fresh Air!

The tape kicks off with the hilarious Jamie Foxx Intro and then hard hitting track Clout featuring KRS One sets the tone for the tape. Other stand Out tracks include the 50 Cent Sampled What Happened, the Jimmy Hendrix Sampled A Way Out, Dodge This featuring D-Block's Sheek Louch, Lil Nikki, Look featuring Redman & Method Man and Set It Off featuring Swizz Beats Mone & Fred Da God Son. It's no surprise that the Green Eyed Bandit runs the boards on the majority if not all of this tape giving it that classic production feel that EPMD fans have loved for decades. Other features include Keith Murray, 50 Cent, Too $hort, Lloyd, DPG's Daz and new comers like Twone Gabz, Ryze, Sam Bo, Lockness Monster, Fish Grease and Kapone. E Sermon pulls out unreleased tracks like Ain't Me which features the Trilla Era Rick Ross and Head Games which features Def Squad Brethren Keith Murray and a young 50 Cent. It's good to hear Def Squad back on the scene and Erick Sermon definitely shows that his production is still top notch and that with a few funny skits including a classic Eazy E Skit that E still knows what it takes to make a solid project and leaves you wondering, if these are his throw away tracks what does Erick Sermon have in store for the future! Tune In Monday, 2-20-12 at 6 & 10PM ET as we feature Erick Sermons "Breath of Fresh Air" on 66RAW's Mixtape Monday!
